Who:

The COSIA Women's Leadership Retreat is sponsored by Cultivating Our Sisterhoood International Association, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on building sisterhood among diverse groups of women through networking events, goal-oriented workshops, and volunteering and fundraising activities for charitable causes.

We welcome women age 18 and older, from all backgrounds and levels of experience to join us.

What:

Our women-only retreat provides an opportunity for guests to relax, refresh, refocus, and renew with a diverse group of positive women without the distractions of television, cell phones, and computers.

Attend our leadership-centered workshops, network during our meet-and-greet sessions, and relax during our game night and other fun activities.

When:

Join us from Friday, August 2 to Sunday August 4, 2013 for the primary retreat experience, or extend your stay and choose a three-night option. Below are details on all retreat options.

Option 1: Primary Retreat Experience

Two-night stay, from Friday, August 2, 2013 through Sunday, August 4, 2013, includes:

• Two-night stay in single or double occupancy guest room (double rooms generally include two twin beds);
• Seven full meals from breakfast on Friday through breakfast on Sunday;
• Registration bag, badges, and other materials;
• Conference center parking;
• All workshop and networking sessions on Friday and Saturday;
• One year of voting level COSIA membership; and
  
• Cost is per person.
  

Option 2: Extended-Stay Option

Three-night stay, from Thursday, August 1, 2013 through Sunday, August 4, 2013, includes:

• Three-night stay in single or double occupancy guest room (double rooms generally include two twin beds);
• Nine full meals from lunch on Thursday to breakfast on Sunday;
• Registration bag, badges, and other materials;
• Conference center parking;
  
• Free time on Thursday to explore Chester, CT area;
  
• All workshop and networking sessions on Friday and Saturday;
• One year of voting level COSIA membership; and
• Cost is per person.

Option 3: Super Extended-Stay Option

Five-night stay, from Tuesday, July 30, 2013 through Sunday, August 4, 2013, includes:

• Five-night stay in single or double occupancy guest room (double rooms generally include two twin beds);
• Nine full meals from lunch on Thursday to breakfast on Sunday (meals on Tuesday and Wednesday are not included);
• Registration bag, badges, and other materials;
• Conference center parking;
  
• Free time from Tuesday to Thursday to explore Chester, CT area;
  
• All workshop and networking sessions on Friday and Saturday;
• One year of voting level COSIA membership; and
• Cost is per person.

Where:

The 2013 Retreat and Annual Conference will take place at the Guest House Retreat and Conference Center (http://guesthousecenter.org/) in Chester, CT.

The Guest House Retreat and Conference Center offers a wonderful location for rest and relaxation. While you are at the Guest House Center, you will have access to the hiking trails, lakes, tennis courts and other amenities.

The town of Chester, CT is the place to experience old time New England and is just a short drive away from the Mystic Aquarium, the Connecticut waterfront, and the Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets.

Getting There:

The Guest House is easily accessible by car for local participants, and directions can be found at the Guest House Web site at http://guesthousecenter.org/page/4441-Location.

While the facility is accessible via a combination of Amtrak and/or the Metro-North Railroad and a car service, we recommend driving and/or car rental to fully explore the Chester area.

For Long-Distance Guests: Guest House is conveniently located near three major airports. We do recommend car rental to fully explore the area. Get additional travel information via the Guest House site at http://guesthousecenter.org/page/4441-Location.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

This event is open to all women age 18 and older.

Parking is free for all of our guests.

What should I wear?

Comfortable and casual attire are encouraged. Leave the heels at home.

What is the refund policy? Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

To keep our events affordable for the greatest number of guests, we limit costs by offering non-refundable deeply discounted rates for the annual conference. However, your registration/ticket is transferrable to the eligible woman of your choice.

Is there anything else I should know?

By submitting your nonrefundable payment, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cultivating Our Sisterhood International Association, Inc. d.b.a. COSIA, its officers, employees and agents for any and all injury, loss, cost, or expense arising out of your participation in COSIA events activities or travel to and from such activities, or otherwise resulting from your use of event facilities. COSIA assumes no responsibility for any loss, damage, or theft of any personal property brought onto the premises by any COSIA event guests, volunteers, and/or participants.

By submitting your payment, you also acknowledge that you have received, read, understood, and agreed to abide by the terms and conditions posted on the COSIA Website, COSIA membership guidelines, and the notice of photography, audio, and video recording. Fees are nonrefundable and registrants will receive confirmation of payment via e-mail.
